Terms & Conditions

Pricing:

At Lebelletzu, we aim to provide transparent pricing for our purebred Shih Tzu puppies to ensure a smooth purchasing experience. The following outlines our pricing structure and related terms, applicable to all sales whether domestic or international.

Price Structure:

  • Base Price: The price listed for each puppy reflects the cost of breeding, care, and preparation for sale. Prices are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD) unless otherwise specified.

  • Domestic Sales: For buyers within Australia, the listed price includes all applicable domestic sales taxes. No additional tax fees will be charged at checkout.

  • International Sales: For buyers in Singapore, the United States, or other countries (considered case-by-case), the listed price excludes import taxes or duties (e.g., Singapore GST, US customs duties). These are the buyer’s responsibility and must be settled with the relevant authorities upon import. See the Delivery & Customs section for more details.

  • Delivery Fees: The listed price does not include delivery costs, whether domestic or international. We supply necessary export permits where applicable. See the Delivery & Customs section for more details.

Payment Terms:

  • Deposit to Reserve: A minimum deposit of 10% of the puppy’s listed price is required to reserve your puppy. This deposit is non-refundable if you cancel your commitment for any reason. The deposit secures your reservation and is deducted from the final payment.

  • Full Payment Required: Payment in full, including the remaining balance after the deposit, is due at the time of purchase to secure your puppy for delivery or collection. We accept payments via cash (for in-person transactions), through our website (processed securely by Stripe), or by direct bank transfer (bank details available upon request). All transactions are handled with care to ensure a smooth and secure process.

  • Non-Refundable: All payments, including the initial deposit and final balance, are final, as outlined in our Refunds & Returns section. Please ensure you are fully committed to the purchase before proceeding.

Buyer Responsibilities:

  • Import Compliance: Buyers in Singapore must comply with the Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS) regulations, and buyers in the United States must adhere to United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) requirements. It is your responsibility to understand and meet these standards prior to delivery.

  • Additional Costs: You are solely responsible for any additional fees beyond the listed price, including import taxes, customs clearance charges, and local licensing costs where applicable.

Liability:

  • Post-Delivery: We bear no liability for costs, damages, or issues arising after delivery is completed, including health, travel, or compliance-related matters. Ownership and responsibility transfer to you upon receipt of the puppy.

Price Variations:

  • Prices may vary based on factors such as puppy lineage, age, or specific traits (e.g., coat colour). All prices are clearly stated at the time of inquiry or on our website and are subject to change without notice until payment is confirmed.

Client Suitability

At Lebelletzu, we’re all about finding the perfect homes for our puppies. We want to make sure you and your new friend are a great fit, so we take a little time to get to know you. Don’t worry—this isn’t a formal test! It’s just a chance for us to chat and connect, ensuring our puppies end up in loving, responsible hands.

What We Look For:

We keep things simple and focus on a few key things to make sure our puppies will thrive with you:

  • A Safe and Happy Home
A cozy, clean space where your puppy can feel secure and loved. If you’ve got other pets, we just want to know they’ll get along with a new buddy.

  • A Little Know-How
Some basic understanding of what your puppy will need—like exercise, grooming, or vet care. If you’re new to this, no problem! We just want to see you’re eager to learn.

  • Room in Your Budget
The ability to handle the everyday costs of puppy life, like good food, vet visits, and maybe some fun toys.

  • A Matching Lifestyle
A routine that leaves time for walks, play, and hanging out with your puppy. Plus, a quick plan for who’ll look after them if you’re away.

  • A Forever Promise
A commitment to care for your puppy their whole life—and if something unexpected happens, an agreement to return them to us instead of anywhere else.

How We Get to Know You:

We don’t do complicated forms or home visits—our process is all about keeping it friendly and relaxed:

  • A Casual Chat
We’ll have a conversation (over the phone, video, or email—whatever works for you) to talk about your life, your plans for the puppy, and what you’re excited about. It’s just a way to see if you and the puppy are a good match.

  • Getting a Feel Through Interactions
As we talk and exchange messages, we’ll get a sense of how ready and excited you are to bring a puppy home.

  • Our Right to Say No
We love finding homes for our puppies, but we do reserve the right to refuse a sale if we feel it’s not the best fit for the puppy’s happiness and well-being.

Keeping It Fair and Open:

This process is all about making sure our puppies are set up for a great life. We apply it to everyone in the same friendly way, and we don’t judge based on anything like race, religion, or other personal traits—just your ability to give a puppy a great home. Any details you share stay safe with us (check our Privacy Policy for more on that).

Let’s Work Together:

By choosing one of our puppies, you’re agreeing to this laid-back process. Thanks for helping us make sure every puppy finds the right place to call home!

Delivery & Customs

Liability:

Lebelletzu’s liability is limited to the purchase price of the puppy. We are not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including but not limited to veterinary expenses beyond the scope of our health guarantee, travel costs, or emotional distress. Our responsibility ends once the puppy is delivered to the agreed-upon destination and accepted by the buyer or their designated representative. Any claims arising from the condition of the puppy must be addressed within the terms of our health guarantee (see below).

Health Guarantee:

We stand behind the health of our puppies and provide a limited health guarantee for a period of 21 days from the date of delivery. This guarantee covers congenital defects or life-threatening illnesses that are reported to us in writing, accompanied by a veterinary diagnosis, within the specified timeframe. If a covered condition is confirmed, we will, at our discretion, offer a replacement puppy or a refund of the purchase price (excluding delivery costs), subject to the return of the original puppy if feasible. This guarantee does not cover routine veterinary care, accidents, neglect, or conditions arising from improper care after delivery.

Refunds and Returns:

Refunds are only accepted if the puppy materially differs from the description provided (e.g., wrong breed, sex, or color) or suffers from an undisclosed health issue covered by our health guarantee. Claims must be submitted in writing within 48 hours of delivery, with supporting evidence (e.g., photos or veterinary reports). We reserve the right to investigate claims and determine eligibility for a refund or replacement. Shipping costs are non-refundable, and the buyer is responsible for return shipping if applicable. See more details in the Refunds & Returns section.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction:

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Australia. Any disputes arising from the purchase or delivery of a puppy will be resolved exclusively in the courts of Western Australia. By purchasing from Lebelletzu, you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of these courts and waive any objections based on venue or inconvenience.

General Limitations

Delivery Process:

At Lebelletzu, we prioritize the safe and humane transport of our puppies to their new homes. We partner with Jetpets, a professional carrier experienced in animal transportation, to ensure your puppy arrives healthy and happy. Delivery timelines and methods will vary depending on the destination and are agreed upon at the time of purchase. We will provide you with tracking information and updates as available from Jetpets. Any delays associated with transport are a matter for Jetpets, and we recommend contacting them directly for updates or resolution.

Delivery Costs:

The buyer is responsible for all delivery costs, which are not included in the purchase price of the puppy. Wondering about delivery costs? You can get a personalized estimate using Jetpets’ online quote forms:

Simply enter your puppy’s details and travel route for an accurate cost breakdown. We are not liable for any additional fees or costs incurred during the delivery process.

Customs Regulations:

As we operate internationally, the importation of live animals is subject to the customs regulations of the buyer’s country. All Lebelletzu puppies come fully vaccinated and microchipped as part of the sale price, meeting these standard requirements for international travel. However, it is the buyer’s responsibility to research, understand, and comply with all other applicable import requirements, including but not limited to health certificates, quarantine procedures, and any additional documentation specific to the destination country. We will provide necessary documentation (e.g., health certificates and export permits) from our end to facilitate the process, but compliance with local laws rests solely with the buyer. We strongly recommend consulting your local customs authority or a professional import specialist well in advance of delivery.

Costs and Responsibilities:

In addition to delivery costs, the buyer is responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, quarantine fees, and costs associated with local pick-up or onward transport from the delivery point. These fees vary by country and are outside our control; buyers should budget accordingly.

Refunds & Returns

At Lebelletzu, we are dedicated to the well-being of our purebred Shih Tzu puppies, which we carefully breed and raise as living animals. Due to the unique nature of live animal sales, we do not accept returns or offer refunds once a purchase is completed. This policy ensures that each puppy is placed in a permanent, committed home and is a standard practice in the responsible breeding community.

No Refunds or Returns:

  • Final Sale: All puppy sales are final. Once payment is processed and the puppy is delivered or collected, no refunds or returns will be accepted under any circumstances.

  • Deposits Non-Refundable: The minimum 10% deposit required to reserve a puppy is non-refundable if you cancel your commitment after payment, as outlined in our pricing terms.

  • Client Responsibility: By purchasing a puppy, you acknowledge full responsibility for its care and well-being, as outlined in our terms. We do not reclaim puppies except in cases where you can no longer provide care, as agreed separately.

  • Health Assurance: We guarantee that each puppy is healthy at the time of sale, supported by veterinary documentation provided to you. Any subsequent health concerns are your responsibility to address with a licensed veterinarian.

Commitment to Transparency:

We strive to provide clear information about each puppy—including health, lineage, and care needs—prior to sale. Our vetting process ensures you are fully prepared for ownership. This policy is in place to protect the welfare of our puppies and uphold the integrity of our breeding program.

For questions about this policy, please contact us at info@lebelletzu.com. This section serves as a formality for online advertising compliance and reflects our commitment to ethical practices.
